Kim and Don Richards Foundation
for children with special needs

The EASI Academy is a supporter of The Kim and Don Richards Family Foundation for children with special needs. These beautiful children have all had the misfortune of suffering some form of underdevelopment of their brain in early childhood. Through the work of Kim and Don, these children are given a chance to learn to play tennis and enjoy the excitement of competition. Kim and Don's foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides the right for children with intellectual disabilities to pursue their dreams.

The EASI Academy will be providing advice and assistance to Don and Kim to better develop these children's athletic abilities. Since athletic ability and skill led to the development of intellectual skills as well as speech in the primitive environment of the jungle, there is some hope that the new methods of training athletic skills developed by EASI will stimulate improvement in intellectual skills in these children.

The work of Freeman and Langer will play a significant role in this partnership. It is anticipated that the successful development of new protocols using athletics to improve skills and intellectual abilities in children with special needs will lead to the development of new protocols for brain trauma rehabilitation generally.
